HAPPY CRAFTING!
Washi Tape Card #1 – Along Came a Spider
Happy Washi Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day.
Today marks the first card in my new washi tape card series. I took a card I had made previously and put in my shop and revamped it for the upcoming Halloween holiday. I used an image from the newest Cricut cartridge Potions and Spells for my greeting on the front of the card (love the images on that cartridge by the way). I made my card base in Design Space also since I was cutting the image though you could skip this step and just cut it with a paper trimmer and fold it in half. The green words were cut out in outdoor vinyl (Oracal 651) to make assembly easier and save the need to attach the letters separately. I inked the edges of both the card and the rectangle in Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink and stamped a Stampabilities spider web in the corner. The Halloween washi tape I chose were from Queen & Co. (not sure if they are still available), the orange and purple were both from a Peachy Cheap offer and the white Beware tape is a dollar bin (Studio G?) tape from Joann’s. I finished it off with some tiny spiders from an older Close to My Heart set of woodblock stamps called Spinning Spider, a bling spider from Hobby Lobby and my favorite Wink of Stella pen.
