This past week while I was making some cards I was thinking about all the different options out there for adhesives for projects. Today, I thought I’d share with your my personal experience and opinions on adhesives I use when making cards and paper crafting. These are by no means all the glues I’ve used. I have some that are only for my scrapbooks, some that I use for general crafts and even ones to use for projects the kids do for school. I have yet to find that one and only, do all adhesive for all my projects. There are also some adhesives out there that I’ve heard a lot about but have yet to try (E6000 for example). Here are my favorite paper crafting and card making adhesives and some reasons why. Continue reading
I have opened my Shop over at Storenvy but have not made the official announcement yet to the public. I’m looking for your feedback. What do you think of my site? Is the background too busy? Photos easy to see and clear as to what the cards look like? What about pricing? I have struggled with what to charge for my work. It is hard for me to put a price on my creativeness (Is that a word?). All the prices at this time are for individual pieces thinking that some people might make up their own custom sets of cards they want. Continue reading
The spiders are gone *insert sad face here*. A couple days ago I told you about the free cut of the week of creepy, crawly spiders for Halloween. The awesome free cut project from last week is no longer available for free in Cricut Craft Room. Now you can purchase it for $1.99 for digital and you will have it available to you all the time. This week, they have a new Halloween project available to cut. Continue reading
Today is Washi Tape Wednesday and I don’t have a project to show you but I thought I would show you my ever growing collection of washi tapes. I just love finding new and more colorful tapes though I’m starting to buy tapes for particular projects since I have so many. Currently my collection sits at about 187 tapes. Some of those as you can see are actually duplicates so the actual number of different tapes isn’t as big.
You may ask how you use them. I love to use them on my cards, to decorate envelopes or just about anything that you can think of that needs a little color. Washi tape (sometimes called paper tape) is a lot like painters tape in that in most cases it is removable and repositionable but it sticks and stays where you want it too. My current favorites are a couple purple ones I got from Washi Mall. She carries several different patterns and colors and often runs specials on her tape. I love her shop and even though she ships from Singapore the rates are reasonable and they arrive quickly. If you’re looking for a great deal, check her out. She is awesome! Continue reading
Each week Cricut offers a free cut of the week to use in Cricut Craft Room. This past week the free cut was for some awesome Halloween Spiders. Generally Cricut offers these cuts from Wednesday to Wednesday so there is only a few hours more info
left for this creepy free cut. Occasionally though they are offered for longer than the one week. If you have the Craft Room software, make sure you check out the free cuts each week. Lately they have been Halloween themed. The free cut for September 18th to September 25th is Moveable Monsters. Take advantage of these great images while they are still here to create Spooky creations for your house on Halloween night.
Coming soon you will be able to purchase beautiful hand made cards from my shop at Shutterscape Creations by Storenvy. Please excuse the mess in here and lack of posting. As soon as my store is open, I will turn my sights on here and share some of my recent projects and creations. I have many things I can’t wait to share. Follow my social pages also. I will be offering special discounts to my followers on Facebook and on Instagram. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned! I’m so excited for this new adventure.
In the past couple of months I have picked up my crafting passion again. I got a new Cricut Expression for my birthday and so began the hunt online for blogs to follow for ideas, tips and tricks. I found an amazing blog at Melody Lane Designs. She has amazing tutorial videos and she has even helped me re-familiarize myself with all the new products out there with her haul videos. If you haven’t checked her out, you really should.
Right now though, she is doing an amazing giveaway with some of stuff she has acquired from her shopping hauls. Her giveaway is here. Below is the rafflecopter entry form for her giveaway. It is really worth checking out and GOOD LUCK to everyone!!
Contest is over . . . Rafflecopter entry form was removed.
