Not sure which cartridge to start with?
There are now four amazing Cricut Collections to choose from. Each one comes with a stamp set (a $60 value) that matches shapes found on the cartridge. Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking all come with dimensional elements. Artfully sent comes with a 24-pack of White Daisy cardstock. Each cartridge is PACKED with over 700 different images/shapes and a font exclusive to each collection. These are the largest cartridges that Cricut makes. Also, remember many of the shapes on these cartridges coordinate with other stamp sets from Close to My Heart. (click on the name of any of the cartridges to be taken directly to it on my site)
- ART PHILOSOPHY is more for the all-in-one crafter. The shapes on this cartridge are more general in design and don’t scream one specific theme making this a good all purpose cartridge for scrapbooking, card making and paper crafting. (Cricut Art Philosophy PDF)
- ARTISTE is more project based. It includes more 3D shapes, mini albums and layered projects. Everything is color coordinated and it also includes an assembly guide to make putting your project together a breeze. (Cricut Artiste PDF)
- ARTBOOKING is all about scrapbooking and mini albums. This cartridge has everything you need for coordinating layouts including overlays, titles, photo mats, etc. all cut proportionately to each other to fit on a 12×12 layout. It also includes 10 mini album themes each with a recommended finished album size. (Cricut Artbooking PDF)
- ARTFULLY SENT is the newest addition to the Cricut Collections and is designed with the card maker in mind. This cartridge features more than 25 different themes and 5 different card formats including dynamic interactive designs it has a card for any and all occasions. Card styles include pop-ups, scenes, sentiments, sleeves and pocket cards (commonly used for pocket style scrapbooking (Cricut Artfully Sent PDF)
Each of these cartridges are amazing and just because it is geared toward a specific style of crafting does not mean it is limited to that. Many of the elements on each cartridge are very versatile in any crafting project. For example, the beautiful butterfly on Artiste may be perfect for your card to mom or a sentiment on the Artfully Sent cartridge would be a great title on a scrapbook page.

Hello on this cold and snowy day. Today I have a card project I did to share with you. I saw a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for a building block card and decided I would give it a try. Now… I have a Cricut Explore so I thought why not try to create a cut file in Design Space to let my Cricut do some of the work for me. After a couple hours of work, I had the base file for the card. Now came the fun of creating a dressed up version. Continue reading
Happy Washi Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a fantastic day.
Today marks the first card in my new washi tape card series. I took a card I had made previously and put in my shop and revamped it for the upcoming Halloween holiday. I used an image from the newest Cricut cartridge Potions and Spells for my greeting on the front of the card (love the images on that cartridge by the way). I made my card base in Design Space also since I was cutting the image though you could skip this step and just cut it with a paper trimmer and fold it in half. The green words were cut out in outdoor vinyl (Oracal 651) to make assembly easier and save the need to attach the letters separately. I inked the edges of both the card and the rectangle in Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink and stamped a Stampabilities spider web in the corner. The Halloween washi tape I chose were from Queen & Co. (not sure if they are still available), the orange and purple were both from a Peachy Cheap offer and the white Beware tape is a dollar bin (Studio G?) tape from Joann’s. I finished it off with some tiny spiders from an older Close to My Heart set of woodblock stamps called Spinning Spider, a bling spider from Hobby Lobby and my favorite Wink of Stella pen.
